Actually, my story is only known to doctors. “When I was a kid, I watched the series Emergency Room, so I wanted to become a doctor…”

That’s what you hear on the sterile floors of hospitals.
But not in the lobby of hotels, is it?

My Story

Well, it was not Dr. House or Grey´s Anatomy which sparked my enthusiasm for the hospitality industry at a young age, but “Hotel”, a series from the 1980´s with James Brolin.

My family’s decision to leave Germany and to emigrate to Mallorca, can be considered a happy coincidence for my hotel career. After graduating at Baleares International School y studied Tourism at the Felipe Moreno University of Applied Sciences. Then, step by step, I worked my way up from reception to General Manager, always following the advice of my former biology teacher Mr. Foster: “Change the job, if you are not happy!”

After more than 20 years of luxury hospitality experience I truly believe that going the extra mile and getting your team to walk it with you a requisite for success. After all, it is the exceptional and genuine service that is an actual differentiation to other hotels in a more and more competitive landscape. If an employee is dissatisfied, he cannot stand in front of a guest with a genuine smile. To achieve this communication, freedom and empowerment are key.
